DESCRIPTION:

After young Mary Whitman shows up in Reno for a divorce from her husband Curtis, another young woman, Jeanne Bently, is found slain. Bently had also been seeking a divorce and the local sherriff, Fletcher, thinks that Mary or her husband may be responsible for the murder. Charlie Chan, master detective, thinks otherwise. He arrives with Number Two Son, Jimmy, and proceeds to match wits with the sheriff to find the real killer.
