Charlotte really isn’t what one would call a resolute and feisty wife. Her lack of desire to engage in discussion and her eternal giving in to her husband, the constantly nagging director Oltendorff, has turned him into a real despot. Finally, Charlotte has decided for the first time to make her own decision about something and already she’s regretting it. While her husband was away on a business trip, she used his absence as an excuse to go on a trip for a few days with her friend Hilde. It was a wonderful time; but ended with a nightmarish awakening. On the drive home, Charlotte’s suitcase tumbled out of the car. Arriving home, she notices it’s missing … but it’s too late! How is she to explain this to her husband the fascist?!?
