JUST MY LUCK: Comedian Norman Wisdom stars as Norman, a young man who works in a jewelers. Across the road works Anne, a pretty girl with whom he is secretly in love. He is anxiously trying to obtain enough money to declare his love properly, and when their secretary suggests placing an accumulator bet, Norman decides to wager on a jockey. He wins the first three races but disaster strikes when Norman hears that he is to ride an ageing mule in the final race. What ensues is Norman s attempt at saving himself from financial ruin, in his own inimitable way!
