DESCRIPTION:

Richard Charters is framed for a murder he didn't commit. Escaping from jail, he becomes a stowaway on a ship captained by the crusty Fred McCall and his lovely daughter, Ann. A romance blossoms between Richard and Ann until he discovers that the ship's first mate is the man who framed him. Richard must not only capture the killer to prove his innocence, but to stop Ann from becoming his next victim.

Sea Devils' leading lady, Molly O'Day, was the younger sister of popular silent star Sally O'Neil. Only a schoolgirl when Hal Roach selected her to join his Our Gang series, she would also appear with Laurel and Hardy in 45 Minutes from Hollywood (1926). Like her sister, she was chosen as one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars in 1928. Leading man Edmund Burns began his career as an extra in D.W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation (1915), and starred in features such as East is West (1922), The Humming Bird (1924) and The Princess from Hoboken (1927), the latter alongside a young Boris Karloff.  Walter Long also appeared in The Birth of a Nation, notoriously as one of the actors in blackface. However, he is better remembered for playing the villain in several Laurel & Hardy films, including Going Bye-Bye! and The Live Ghost (both 1934). Hilliard Karr, one of the "Three Fatties" from the Ton of Fun series, has an uncredited cameo as a bartender.

BONUS: Freak Fish Of The Seven Seas (BW, 1933): This vintage short subject documents the strangest -- and most dangerous -- occupants of the ocean. Learn all about the vicious electric eels, and see an underwater battle between man and shark!
