Since the three actors Heinz Doll, Toni Mack and Hans Stiegler are currently out of work, they answer an advertisement in the paper from the “Zum blauen Enzian” Inn to work as a porter, a waiter and an elevator-boy. Heinz, Toni and Hans carry out their unfamiliar tasks to the satisfaction of their boss, Theresa Stolzinger. Luck seems to be in the cards for elevator-boy Hans and waiter Toni: the maid Vroni has the hots for Hans and the cook Walpurga always has something ready to eat for hungry Toni. Even the waiter Heinz’ charm seems to have an effect on the innkeeper. But she already has an admirer in the persistent Dr. Elz.
