DESCRIPTION:

Director Philippe de Broca's adventure spoof "That Man From Rio" stars Jean-Paul Belmondo as a French military pilot on an eight-day leave to see his girlfriend (Francoise Dorleac) in Paris. But when his gal is kidnapped by South American Indians searching for ancient statues her archeologist father once found, Belmondo follows them to the Brazilian jungle and braves a variety of perils to rescue her. Then, Jean-Paul is "Up To His Ears" in deadly stunts, playing a bored billionaire who, after losing his fortune and his fiancge, lets a stranger take out a $2 million life insurance policy on him and waits to be bumped off. After meeting a beautiful stripper (Ursula Andress) and surviving several attempts on his life, Belmondo decides he wants to live!
