From 1952-'56, Charles Boyer joined fellow Hollywood luminaries Ida Lupino, David Niven and Dick Powell in Four Star Playhouse (also known as Star Performance), an anthology series in which each actor took the lead role on a weekly basis. The series, which ran on CBS, earned 14 Emmy nominations during its run, including one for Boyer in 1956 for Best Continuing Performance by an Actor in a Dramatic Series.

Magic Night (1956): Henri has worked at a bookkeeping firm for 25 years and expects a celebration in his honor to mark the occasion. But when it doesn't happen, he spends a night out on the town that changes his entire life.

My Wife Geraldine (1952): Friends and neighbors are wondering why they haven't seen Mr. Graham's wife in quite some time - or ever. Graham confides to a neighbor that his wife never existed, and that he invented her years before in order to secure a good job.

Moorings (1953): On the eve of an important merger, a wealthy shipping magnate is persuaded to take some time off. While strolling the beach, he encounters a young boy and his blind mother, not suspecting that this innocent friendship will profoundly affect them all.

Man in the Box (1953): Every night, a mysterious man attends the theater, occupying the same box seat. He escapes into fantasy, imagining himself in all of the lead roles.
