Better known in Hollywood circles as the husband of silent-screen vamp Clara Bow, boyishly handsome Rex Bell enjoyed a steady career as a movie cowboy in the early to mid-1930s. He starred in eight well-made westerns for Monogram during the 1932-33 season, but was supplanted by charismatic newcomer John Wayne.

The Fugitive (1933, B&W): Undercover Secret Service agent Joe "Lefty" Keyes poses as a prison inmate and helps break cellmate Dutch Walton out of the big house. Keyes hopes that the bandit will lead him to the hiding place of a half-million dollars stolen during a post-office robbery. Starring Rex Bell, Cecilia Parker, Robert Kortman, George Hayes; Directed by Harry Fraser.

Gun Fire (1935, B&W): The villainous McGregor brothers frame rival cattlemen Jerry Dunbar for murder in order to steal his valauble property. The only hope of clearing Dunbar's name lies in pretty Mary Vance and her ranch hands, who believe the cowpoke is innocent. Starring Rex Bell, Ruth Mix, Buzz Barton, Philo McCullough; Directed by Harry Fraser.
