In 1974, Sveriges radio inviting the public to submit scenarios on "the future,"
Watkins and journalist Bo Melander develop a scenario on the theme of nuclear power.
The action takes place in 1999 in underground apartments fully-monitored video engineer,
John, working for a nuclear waste treatment plant on the west coast of Sweden.
TV delivers upbeat message on the New Millennium. Bertil, the brother of John and
one of his nephews, Bo, charged with "anti-social" activities, come join to celebrate
the New Year, but the tour quickly becomes oppressive due to political disagreements
between the two brothers. Bertil, denouncing the consumer society that produced these
nuclear waste accuses John of being trapped in a system that blindly endorse.
