The Woman Between (1931) On DVD

Wayward son Victor returns from Europe to be reunited with his tycoon father John Whitcomb. At a party in his honor, he is horrified to discover that his new stepmother, Julie, is the very same woman with whom he had a torrid love affair on the cruise home from France. Although John is considerably older, Julie truly loves her husband and tries to end the scandalous romance. But Victor is desperately in love with his stepmother, and his relentless pursuit, along with the undeniable chemistry between the forbidden lovers, forces Julie to make a terrible choice.

The Woman Between was produced by RKO Radio Pictures and stars ravishing French actress Lili Damita, who is best remembered for her rocky marriage to Errol Flynn. O.P. Heggie, who plays the cuckolded John Whitcomb in this production, achieved immortality when he portrayed the blind hermit who befriends the monster in James Whale's 1935 classic The Bride of Frankenstein.
