DESCRIPTION:

Gerald Meldrick (Clark Gable) and Anya Von Duren (Rosalind Russell) have a lot in common. They're both jewel thieves. And they're both after the same rock, the fabulous Star of Asia. So they team up - in crime, in love, and in comic adventure that has them jumping on a tramp steamer to elude cops, swindling a Hong Kong merchant prince to nab some cash and battling advancing Japanese
troops to strike a blow in World War II. Buoyed by a top cast, Gable and Russell handle quips, kisses and danger with equal aplomb. The two stars had worked together before, but after losing Gable to Jean Harlow in China Seas and being mere window dressing as he romanced Joan Crawford in Forsaking All Others, Roz finally got her man.
