DESCRIPTION:

Aggie Specks somehow maintains dignity in her ramshackle home in a city dump, and showers her daughter, April, with attention and love. The factory of tycoon Elias Moorehouse overlooks the makeshift huts, and he has pulled political strings to have Aggie, and the other poor homeless souls evicted once and for all. Moorehouse's efforts are terminated when he suffers a stroke and dies. Aggie then shocks the entire city with the claim that Elias Moorehouse is April's father and that her daughter is the millionaire's only living heir!

English actress Sarah Padden had a busy three decade career and is best remembered for her roles in The Midnight Lady (1932), Anna Karenina (1935), The Mad Monster (1942) and Hangmen Also Die (1943). Women Won't Tell features a fine supporting cast which includes Otis Harlan, Mae Busch, Jane Darwell and William V.
